MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide advanced embryology services within the IVF laboratory, ensuring high standards of clinical and laboratory practice across assisted reproductive technologies. The role provides technical leadership and supervision to the embryology team, works closely with clinicians to optimise patient outcomes, and supports quality, compliance and continuous improvement within the IVF service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Perform advanced embryology and andrology procedures, including ICSI, embryo culture and assessment, embryo transfer, biopsy, cryopreservation and gamete handling.
• Ensure effective laboratory operations, equipment management, safety and quality control.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance, training, supervision and mentorship to embryologists and laboratory staff.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams throughout patient treatment cycles.
• Contribute to research, service development and the implementation of improved laboratory techniques and protocols.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology or Reproductive Sciences.
  • Valid or eligible DHA, DOH or MOH licence as an Embryologist.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IVF laboratory with hands-on experience in key embryology procedures, including ICSI, embryo culture, embryo transfer, cryopreservation and sperm preparation.

Desired

• 8 years’ experience within an IVF laboratory.
• Experience within a JCI-accredited facility or multi-site IVF operation.
• Previous involvement in embryology research or quality assurance programmes.
