MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Commercial Operations Manager is accountable for local commercial performance across the hospital cluster and its associated clinics, encompassing business-to-business (B2B) sales, business-to-consumer (B2C) conversion, and the coordination of inbound medical tourism. The role executes local marketing activity within the central brand and campaign frameworks set by the Integrated Marketing Campaign team, and acts as the local commercial point of contact for the central commercial structure, including the digital health product and strategic projects. Operating within central pricing, brand, and commercial standards, the role is accountable for delivering commercial targets jointly agreed with the Chief Commercial Officer's office, and is a member of the Hospital Senior Leadership Team
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Execute local marketing within central brand and campaign frameworks
Drive local sales: B2C conversion, B2B accounts, and inbound medical tourism
Maintain local referrer and corporate relationships
Act as local touchpoint for digital health and strategic projects
Supply market intelligence and performance feedback to central functions
Operate within central standards and meet agreed commercial targets
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Essential: Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business, marketing, commerce, or a related discipline from a reputable institution
Desired: Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) in a business-related field. Private healthcare experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: 6–8 years' experience in commercial, business development, or sales roles, including demonstrable experience managing corporate (B2B) accounts and direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales, ideally within a healthcare, hospitality, or other service-led environment. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets
Desired: Experience of medical tourism or international patient coordination; experience operating within a matrixed organisation with central and local commercial functions; exposure to marketing execution within a regulated or brand-governed environment; experience managing a small team
