MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To lead the clinical rehabilitation team and monitor and manage the effective operational functioning of rehabilitation/therapeutic services by embedding and continuously improving rehabilitation services, standards and governance aimed at achieving best in class patient safety and quality standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To provide leadership and guidance to the rehabilitation team

To support the implementation of the business unit’s clinical rehabilitation strategy

To monitor, guide and improve quality management, clinical risk and governance processes

To guide the daily clinical operational function for the business unit, including budgeting and financial monitoring

To provide general physiotherapy services, counseling and training to patients

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited educational institution and a current license to practice

BLS and ACLS certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 5-8 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist of which at least 3 years involved managing a team of professionals

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge and experience in quality improvement methodology
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of the multi-disciplinary clinical environment, systems and related processes
  • Business drivers and how to apply financial controls within the clinical process
  • Demonstrates an understanding and application of relevant legislation within the healthcare industry
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
