MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Developing and managing an effective management systems; Occupational Health and safety, Environmental Management to prevent incidents and injuries, reduce potential hazards, by assessing risks. Promoting sustainability and safety culture at workplace. Maintaining Business Continuity and Emergency and Disaster preparedness management programs, and ensuring sustainability initiatives and programs implementation, and compliance with all Environment, Safety, Health Legislation, accreditation and certification authorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Administration, planning and monitoring of Environment, Health and Safety, Business continuity, Emergency Management, and sustainability activities within the Hospital, and Reports the Environment, Health and Safety System Performance regularly.

Effective communication and consultation at all levels

Management of effective reporting and records maintenance

Effective coordination and collaboration

Rolling and conducting Awareness and development plans 

Overlooks EHSS department systems’ compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements

Ensure through assessing of hazards, and relevant Risk Management process in place at departmental and hospital levels.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Environment, Health and Safety or Occupational health and safety, or equivalent with certified qualification attested by MOHESR

Certificated NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA, etc. or equivalent, and own membership in local or international EHS recognized institute.

Lead auditor ISO 14001:2015, 45001: 2018, and for ISO 22301: 2019 is an added advantage

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

5-7 years' experience in Environmental, Health and safety management systems developing, and implementation, monitoring and reporting including depth experience in Business continuity, Risk Management, incident investigation, emergency management and auditing mentioned systems.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • EHS related laws and regulations
  • Healthcare regulatory requirements on EHS standards and policies
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations and JCI standards
  • Ability to investigate OSH and Environmental incidents and conduct OSH and Environmental Risk Assessment
  • Knowledge of Federal Laws
