MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To perform sonography diagnostic examinations for patients in line with company standards and regulatory requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Perform routine sonography procedures within set guidelines and in accordance with regulatory requirements

Provide professional guidance, care and support to patients

Maintain patient records according to policy and statutory requirements

Ensure patient safety principles and practices are complied with in line with patient care standards

Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance functions are performed

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging from an accredited institution

A post graduate qualification in sonography or ultrasound

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years' relevant experience in sonography

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Current clinical knowledge of radiology practices, industry trends and technologies
  • Evaluation of diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and patient history and medical records
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
