MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To plan and facilitate identified learning and development interventions and to ensure competency of all agency members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Assist with the recruitment and manage selection and onboarding of new agency candidates
  • Establish a learning culture
  • Compile learning and development reports
  • Responsible for the facilitation of staff in all specialized units

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Diploma or Degree in Nursing

Qualification as a midwife essential

DESIRED EDUCATION

Diploma or Degree in Nursing Education

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

At least 2-years’ experience as a Registered nurse in a clinical setting

Extensive experience in a Adult ICU environment

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

1 – 2 years’ experience a mentor

1 – 2 years' experience as an assessor in a specific healthcare setting e.g. nursing – general

Trained BLS instructor with a current instructor license.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Facilitation and assessment skills
  • Clinical competence in applicable job specific procedures
  • Knowledge and practical application of Adult learning principles
  • Recruitment and selection skills
  • Proficiency in MS office (excel, word, powerpoint, email)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
