MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead a holistic human resources business and employee enablement service which leverages human resources tools and services to anticipate and solve business challenges within a value-based culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Support business performance through strategic HR application
Drive and govern HR Service Delivery
Optimise talent management within the hospital
Promote and lead employee engagement
Lead workforce optimisation and remuneration
Lead and manage the people in the Human Resource Department
Enable transformation through Employment Equity management and fair HR practice
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 3 year Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
DESIRED EDUCATION: None
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5-8 years recent generalist experience in Human Resources.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in Labour Relations/Learning and Development.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Digital literacy, with specific reference to MSOffice suite, skilled in the use of multiple HR Systems, ranging from SAP Successfactors talent suite, payroll and Tableau etc.
- Knowledge of how to apply best practices to actively lead and/or support transformation where needed (in support of the relevant business goals in this regard).
- Skills in contract administration and effective recordkeeping
- Skilled in the utilisation of Strategic People Management and talent management practices to ensure appropriate HR Service delivery by utilising all available resources in support of the business goals and priorities
- Knowledge of a corporate business context and experience in supporting senior- and/or top management within a matrix environment (face-to-face or virtual)
- Insight in change management practices and the utilisation thereof to support employees in the transformation of relevant business processes affecting them
- Experience in HR Governance and Risk Management (Including the knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures and skilled in the fair application and consistent application thereof in the operational environment).
- Well entrenched knowledge and experience in the utilisation of talent best practices to optimally support employees through the entire employee lifecycle across various functions to achieve their goals.
- A data driven approach is demonstrated in judgement when applied in problem identification and solutioning.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English and the ability to structure proposals in an appropriate manner for the perusal of key decision makers/forums.
- Knowledge of the sourcing for highly specialised positions with experience and facilitating the onboarding process to ensure a great candidate experience.
- Knowledge of succession planning and talent development.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and Employee Relations best practices with proven experience in the utilisation thereof within different contexts.
- Skilled and hands-on in first line organisational effectiveness work, including job analysis, team intervention and facilitation skills.
