MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To process quantitative and qualititative data, design statistical and machine learning solutions for researching business problems; and package such solutions in a meaningful format to present to the

business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Analyse data using statistical modeling and analysis techniques and provide analytical support to the business
  • Implement, maintain and enhance statistical solutions
  • Liaise with business units to collect and document report requirements, and create and manage interactive tools using cutting edge visualistion techniques
  • Leverage on clinical and business data to define and translate business requirements into technical specifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

  • Bachelor level degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Actuarial Science or Mathematics

DESIRED EDUCATION

  • Post Graduate qualification; Machine Learning

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Data Science work experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge and programming skills in statistical software packages (eg. R;Python;SAS preferable)
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and effectively communicate the findings
  • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques and other state-of-the-art methods
  • Numerical skills
  • Critical and anlytical thinking skills and inquisitiveness to discover patterns with data
  • Data Querying
  • Presentation and data storytelling skills (Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI)
  • Computer Software (eg. Microsoft Office, Excel (VBA), Power Point, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience developing advanced solutions using NLP, Deep Learning or Time Series techniques
