MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To perform maintenance on buildings and equipment, and ensure that assets are upheld to their original state.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  1. Perform requested technical jobs within the Hospital
  2. Identify and control risk in the technical environment within the Hospital
  3. Coordinate and monitor work done by on-site contractors within the Hospital
  4. Perform office administration duties within the Technical Department
  5. Build and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within the Technical Department

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Grade 10/ equivalent technical vocational qualification

DESIRED EDUCATION

Grade 12

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2-3 years’ minimum experience in general building maintenance (basic)

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Skills and knowledge of building maintenance issues
  • Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Skills and knowledge of general equipment repairs
