MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To implement, drive and sustain clinical quality within the emergency medical environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Set, implement and manage operational clinical plans aligned with Emergency Medicine strategy 
  • Oversee clinical performance in the emergency medical environment and provide operational support
  • Provide specialist expertise and support to emergency centres
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Registered/Professional Nursing qualification

DESIRED EDUCATION

Post graduate qualification within ICU/Trauma 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years clinical experience, of which 3 – 5 should be in a Specialist function/SME-role such as Unit or branch Manager, Patient Safety, Risk Management
  • Experience in the private emergency medicine environment
     

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Adverse events framework and grading of patient safety related incidents
  • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
  • Continuous quality improvement methodologies
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Legislative requirements and accreditation standards
  • Patient safety, quality improvement and quality assurance methodologies
  • Private healthcare industry
  • Project Management methodologies
  • Report writing
  • Risk management systems and processes, e.g. audits, CURA, Event Management System
  • Stakeholder management
