MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure the accurate, complete, and timely administration of the fixed asset register and related transactions by creating and maintaining asset master data in SAP (including acquisitions), processing asset movement journals (e.g. transfers and disposals), and supporting capital purchase order approvals within defined SLA timeframes.
The role supports the fixed asset lifecycle and ensures compliance with financial controls, organisational policies, and audit requirements, while maintaining high standards of data integrity and accuracy.

- Perform administrative functions for capital purchase order approvals
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
- Matric Certificate with Accounting or Financial Related Certificate
DESIRED EDUCATION:
- Financial diploma
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 2–3 years of working experience in a financial department
- Fixed asset administration experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 – 5 years in a financial environment
- Relevant fixed asset accounting experience
- SAP system experience
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Asset master data and transaction processing within an integrated asset management system
- Asset accounting policies and capitalisation principles
- Data integrity and reconciliation practices (including asset register accuracy and equipment master data reconciliation, and clean-up of incomplete or unposted assets)
- Finance/accounting terminology with a basic understanding of accounting concepts (capital vs expense, depreciation, profit and loss impacts)
- Understanding of different budget types, implications, and applicable procedures
- SAP system (asset accounting/finance module)
- Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
