MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
We are seeking an experienced IT Core Delivery Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic IT projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to implementation and closure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, providing regular project updates and reporting.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Drive project governance, quality assurance, and adherence to established methodologies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Prince2 and/or PMBOK certification
- Project Management Certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5 years project management experience ; with 2 most recent years in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably within core IT delivery environments.
- Prince2 and/or PMBOK certification, or substantial practical experience applying these methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex IT projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive project outcomes in a collaborative environment.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- MS Office suite (including MS Project and Viso) and other relevant computer software programmes (e.g. Project Portfolio Management software)
- Prince II and/or PMBOK standards
- Cost management and budgeting principles
- Project management principles, processes, tools, techniques and applications
- Project management and delivery within a larger enterprise project portfolio management context
- Change management principles and applications
- Contract and service level agreement (SLA) management
- Software development cycle
