MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To coordinate, plan, implement and maintain Medical Device Integration and PACS Solutions with internal and external parties. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Supplier and Procurement engagement
  • Co-ordinate Integration Architecture
  • Manage, plan, implement and maintain VNA and Medical device systems
  • Manage, plan, implement and maintain PACS systems
  • Maintain Quality Assurance
  • Service Desk Support

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

  • IT Degree

DESIRED EDUCATION

  • IT Honours Degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ experience as a PACS Administrator, 3 years of ICT experience

 

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Network knowledge and diagnostics
  • DICOM connectivity diagnostics (incl. VNA/PACS)
  • DICOM header knowledge and fixing capabilities (incl. VNA/PACS)
  • Windows knowledge – servers, operating systems and applications
  • SQL knowledge – server and SQL statements
  • Troubleshooting – using simple logic and exclusion
  • SDLC knowledge
  • Messaging protocols and standards knowledge (e.g. webservice, XML)
  • Presentation capabilities and public speaking
  • Project management knowledge
  • Service delivery knowledge
  • Medical device cybersecurity and network security practices
  • Healthcare information governance and data privacy (e.g. POPIA)
