MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To manage relevant remuneration and payroll systems and processes for Mediclinic Southern Africa (MCSA).
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Manage the payroll system processes for MCSA
- Manage relevant remuneration processes for MCSA
- Accept ownership and manage the Success Factors System
- Coordinate relevant tax administration processes
- Manage and control department budgets / finances
- Initiate and manage relevant departmental projects
- Lead and manage the people in the Payroll Operations Team
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Essential Education
- Bachelors degree in relevant field (Financial / Commerce)
Desired Education
- Post-graduate degree in financial field
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential Minimum Experience
- 7 - 10 years experience in a similar role; at least 5 years managerial experience
Desired Experience
- Expierence in a payroll environment, within a large compliment of staff
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of the full monthly payroll process
- Understanding of HR Finance and relevant HR systems
- Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory payroll legislation
- Computer literacy: Excel
- Understanding of remuneration and employee benefits administration
- Payroll systems administration and SuccessFactors system knowledge
- Payroll governance, audit and risk management principles
- Financial reconciliation and payroll control principles
- Project management and continuous improvement capability
- Leadership and people management capability
- Stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
- Knowledge of POPIA and payroll data confidentiality requirements
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
