MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To co-ordinate and administer asset related processes and provide project administration support

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:  Diploma with Finance as subject (or equivalent).

DESIRED EDUCATION: BCom degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years relevant working experience in a Financial environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 3 Years working experience in a Fixed Asset Financial environment, SAP Accounting

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Approve and co-ordinate administration functions for purchase orders

Perform administration functions on Fixed Asset System

Create and maintain budgets and co-ordinate relating processes

Co-ordinate financial controls and processes

Provide project administration and payment process controls

Monitor work flows and system processes, provide support and improvements

Supervise and develop team members

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Integrated asset management system
  • Overall asset verification process
  • Finance/accounting terminology
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting transactions
  • Asset Accounting and Capitalisation policy and legislation
  • Impact of Depreciation and Profit & Loss
  • SARS legislation
  • Different budget types, implications and applicable procedures
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Reconciliation skills
  • SAP Financial System
