MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To assist with the provision of cooked menus for patients, staff, surgeons and partners and maintaining a hygienic kitchen in which food is prepared to reduce risk to all stakeholders
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Assist with the preparation of food
Perform general kitchen duties
Assist with food distribution
Assist with stock control
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12
DESIRED EDUCATION: Basic Food Handling Certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience working in the food services industry
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Hospital or healthcare kitchen environment
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Fire safety procedures
- Infection control principles
- Food Health and Safety procedures
- Waste Control Medico,legal procedures
