MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead and manage the internal and external emergency care training delivered by Mediclinic and ER24, including the management of the associated emergency care training team and training sites to deliver quality emergency care education and training to staff and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Manage student administration processes including recruitment processes, marketing strategy and record keeping
- Lead and manage the Mediclinic Higher Education EMC training team
- Manage and control the EMC and commercial training budget
- Govern the quality of higher education and training EMC courses and content
- Manage adherence to regulatory body requirements
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including sourcing and stakeholder management of commercial training clients
- Manage the emergency medical care department strategy and provision of training offerings in line with business/client requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Emergency Medical Care Degree
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education or Health Science
- Postgraduate qualification in Health Sciences
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- 5 years’ experience in a clinical environment (EMC)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a higher education environment
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Managerial experience
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Mediclinic Training and Development Policies and Procedures
- Education and Training legislation and other relevant healthcare-related legislation and its application within EMC & ER24 training environment
- Bloom's Taxonomy of assessment and evaluation
- Group facilitation tools, techniques and best practices
- Emergency Medical Care Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Mentorship principles and guidelines
- Learning and development quality management
- Training needs analysis, design and evaluation (incl. curricula development)
- Workplace assessment
