MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  1. Perform technical jobs within the Locality 
  2. Perform administration duties within the technical function
  3. Identify and mitigate technical risks within the Locality
  4. Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the Locality
  5. Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Electrical and mechanical enginering NQF level 3

DESIRED EDUCATION: 2-3 year Apprenticship in engineering installations and matinteance 

ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATION: Valid driver's licence

DESIRED CERTIFICATION: Valid and appropriateTrade test certificate in Electro-mechanical or Air-conditioning and refrigration

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE: Appenticeship experinece in Engineering installatons and maitenetance  

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years post Trade Qualification in plant machinery and equipment, HVAC, pressure vessels, pnuematics and electrico- mechanical blue print interpretation 

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Trade-specific skills and knowledge – proficiency relative to the role
  • Trade-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant legislature
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
  • Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
