MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To oversee and manage the operations of the hospital to ensure safe patient care by providing comprehensive, high-quality, efficient health care services and delivering on budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Drive business growth, strategy and development for the hospital
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, specifically doctors
- Manage and control hospital budgets/finances
- Manage client experience
- Manage patient safety
- Lead and manage the people in the hospital
- Manage and mitigate hospital risks
- Ensure continuous improvement of the overall quality of services delivered
- Facilitate the implementation of initiatives to integrate health service delivery across the continuum of care and support the region
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
DESIRED EDUCATION:
Business management with subjects in finance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in general management
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a private healthcare environment
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Healthcare industry
- Functions and processes within a private hospital environment, and how disciplines interact with each other
- Budgeting and financial planning/management principles
- Application of business metrics
- Governance and risk management
- Contract and service level agreement (SLA) management
- Funders of Healthcare/Managed Healthcare
- Relevant legislative regulations
- Quality management principles
- Health and Safety principles
- Client Experience principles
- Knowledge of the clinical environment
- Demonstrates computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of advances in Artificial Intelligence
